Why 12? Twelve is the number of the Church—the Old Covenant Church of Israel was founded by the twelve sons of Jacob and the New Covenant Church founded by the twelve Apostles. The number twelve represents divine authority and appointment. The Great Commission, the last recorded personal instruction given by Jesus to the twelve Apostles, appoints them (us) to go and make disciples of all nations. Inspired by His divine directive, Plant12 exists to provide life-sustaining resources, expertise, and encouragement to help partner organizations continue onward and upward in the planting of Christ’s Church to a world in need of RE-covery.
